Holistic Counselling is a talking therapy that is aimed at empowering a client to discover and access their own inner wisdom and healing. Holistic counselling can be useful for anyone. The counsellor engages in a relationship with you that involves listening, challenging and helping you to work through issues, enabling you to remove stress and anxiety and improve your quality of life.
Counselling involves helping you, the client to be proactive and move towards positive change through the use of proven strategies and self-empowerment techniques. Holistic counselling takes into account the whole person including their emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical environments.
I use a person centred, goal-oriented approach for the management of stress associated physical and emotional health-care concerns. This will Incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt and Solution-focused therapies. This means that i am committed to helping you feel empowered enough to understand your problems, create your own goals and achieve them by creating your own solutions.
What makes Holistic Counselling different from other counselling practices is the understanding of the links between mind, body and spirit and incorporating an intuitional approach. I am qualified to help you with your concerns focusing on all levels (physical, emotional and spiritual). I believe that change and healing happen more rapidly when we take care of our bodies as well as our minds.
